Would you splurge and get one of these suits if you could afford one and they were in stock even with the possibility of a ban approaching in 2010? There are lots of pros and cons of which only a few I'll list here: Cons Many of your competitors have inferior suits, so is it as satisfying to beat them given the possible advantage of 1.5 seconds or more per 100? You are near some masters world records. Although you may break one with the suit, the satisfaction is not the same for you as the current world record holder did not have a comparable suit. How will you physically and mentally handle the suit downgrade post the ban, assuming it happens. Wait! Your "just for fun", it's all about self improvement masters swimming feels like it's suddenly taking a turn to win at all costs. Pros What's not fun about going as fast as possible while staying within the rules? You had better take advantage of the fast suit technology while it's still around and legal. Who does not like to turn in a top performance? I'm torn. Pun fully intended.
