The 2009 SEC Championships are underway at Auburn. Auburn men won the 200 medley relay(no shocker) but they actually put together an 800 free relay that won as well( going 6:18) I don't think they have ever had an 800 free relay go under 6:20
The Florida women won the 200 medley relay with a 1:36.

Take a look at the cumulative splits from the men's 800 relay and tell me that doesn't look like one of the most exciting (or devastating, if you're a Gator) relay finishes you can think of.
McGill dropped some serious Lezak on that guy!

Prelims today all men in the 50 free top 16 were under :20.00 and for the women's 50 free a 23.00 got 19th--not even an alternate.

Kohlton Norys swam at a local swim club (Tule Nation Tritons or TNT) in central CA. He was taking off in high school, but it is impressive to see him putting out splits like he is at Auburn. I expect to see more of his name in the backstroke events, as that was his specialty if I remember.
Targett's 25 & 50 fly times on the relay are AWESOME

Auburn has a sprint factory.
1 Targett, Matt Auburn 19.65 18.89 q"A"
2 Andkjaer, Jakob Auburn 19.91 18.97 q"A"
3 Louw, Gideon Auburn 19.75 19.45 q"B"
Matt Targett split an :18.10 on the AU 200 FR last night (great reaction time too)---looks like we may see a sub :18 on a relay in the next few years.

These times are unbelievable. What amazed me -- as to how fast cuts have gotten -- is that the winner of the men's 200 free still didn't even manage to make the "A" cut ... going 1:33!!
I'm so glad I'm swimming Masters and not 20 years younger.

Wow, good find Ande. Based on those times I'd say Targett's SDKs are worth emulating. That is an astonishing first 25.
