I'm with ImSpoiled - big differences in what I could swim, would want to swim and will swim. I am sure if I had to I could find some sort of slow setting on my fly and complete several hundred yards. I swim the 100 in meets and die like a dog but that has to do with racing. I've also swim 200s in meets a couple of times - no need to ever do that again.
Right now I COULD swim a 100 Fly.. years ago, I could do the 200... but no more. Now, would I actually LIKE to swim a 100 Fly??? That's a whole other story. I will leave that to FlyGirl!
Today? Probably a 200, and it would definitely not be pretty.
In college, however, I went a 3000 LCM butterfly for time.
Wow, is that legal? It might fall under torture lol.
I can swim VERY slow fly pretty much indefinitely(but it is really ugly.My reasonable looking fly is only about 100.)I can swim butterfrog much faster than my ugly stroke and do in indefinitely also(indefinitely means until I get bored, maybe 1500 if extremely motivated.)
