I did a search and found no info on this...
Any ideas/tips out there to cover up fresh ink so as you are not benched from the pool for the minimum 2 week heal time?? I'm getting tattooed next week (Great White shark on my back) and also will be 7 weeks out from a OW race and I really can't afford 2 weeks outta the pool - but I sure don't want to wreck my tat. I booked this appt. back in January, long before I knew about this swim!
Thanks! Any advice is appreciated!
My husband recently had two spurs removed from his shoulder. He had to keep the small bandages on for nearly 3 weeks. The physical therapist told him to use Glad Press N' Seal wrap. It worked WONDERFULLY. It was so easy, I just never had thought to use it.
I actually had trouble believing that it worked at all, but it did! It was fantastic. It works even better, if you don't lotion up before swimming. Afterwards, I went home and sealed it on a liquid filled bowl and left it upside down for an hour. That stuff is magic. It even stayed on him under the power jets in the shower.
2 weeks - no pool.
I am going to go nuts but I am very pleased with the tat and absolutely do not want to possibly wreck it. Hammerhead and Great White: www.outpost31.com/.../GWtattoo1.jpg
