I'm sure many of you know this already, but there will be a relay day at LC Nationals in Indy next summer. According to Mel Goldstein there will be two days, then the relay day, then two more days. All the relays (i.e., including 400s and 800 free) will be swum on relay day, so it will be a great opportunity to go for records in the relays over 200 meters that aren't contested at Nationals normally. You'll be able to swim up to three relays.
I think this is a great idea and will boost attendance. On the down side it does make the meet a day longer.
Hooray and . Hooray - I think this is a great idea for getting some serious relays in the water and because I will probably be the only one from my team there.
I thought we were all registering as Team Hottub (our acronym will be HOTT), or joining our favorite on deck coach's team.
Having one day set aside for relays is a great idea. Can't wait to see the order of events since this will be a five-day meet.
BTW, the pool is indoors and is VERY fast.
:DThe Beer & Bong Relay:
Buzzer goes off, Beer Bong, Swim to other end, Hit on a real Bong, Swim back. Each four person team must swim twice.
