I hear this term too often and its meaning seems to vary by the age of the speaker, along with the phrase "we aren't dating, we're just hanging out." Is that like friends with benefits? Beats me, I'm too old I guess.
I concur. It's often times difficult to determine just what is meant by "hook up". When in doubt, ask for clarification.
When I hear teenagers using that phrase, it doesn't mean hanging out. Maybe one of the youthful members of the forum can correct me, but I think it's a pseudonym for anything from casual sex to making out and usually takes place at parties. Maybe we can ask Amanda?
It really disappoints me that Amanda said that about Phelps. :shakeshead: Her loss. I thought it was cute that Phelps said he was a Momma's boy. Guess Amanda really lost out because a momma's boy always treats the women in his life well - momma, significant others, etc. :)
