Waterproof watch suggestions?

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a Timex water RESISTANT watch, only to have it flake out on me during practice... only lasted about 3 months, then the seal broke and it started fogging up and then the digital display went all funky. Does anyone have a good watch they can recommend? Is it a big deal if it's water resistant and not water proof? Thanks so much - these boards are so helpful!

I have always had great luck with Nike watches. I just bought a new Nike Triax Fury 100 Super Watch because the numbers are large enought to read without glasses (a problem common amoung masters :)) It is rated to 100m, but I agree with the earlier post to push the buttons above the water to start/stop your intervals. I also rinse it off in the drinking fountain with my goggles after each swim.
