I'll be there too! I am really looking forward to getting away from work for a week. It is funny that I think of swimming at Nationals as a relaxing getaway.
Me!!!! I moved to VA from near Portland so this is my first time going "home" and I can't wait. The pool is awesome, the area is awesome and I'm so excited to see old friends and meet new ones. 41 days to go.

Allen, it will be good to be in a meet with you again. I'm still OMS registered so we're still team mates. Hm.. hope that doesn't make you change teams now :)
One of my teammates gave me an explanation of why we are relaxed after a meet.
During the meet we focus on our swims and worry about racing. In doing that, we forget about all of the problems of the "real" world - family, job, etc. I think she is right - we worry; we race; it's over.
I just registered and now I'm trying to get the hotel taken care of.
The holiday inn web site says they have rooms in Gresham, but when I called them they said they're fully booked that weekend. The on-line reservation system has out of date info I guess. The holiday inn in Troutdale only has smoking rooms - I'll keep looking. This is what I get for waiting too long.
