What is the longest you have ever swam in a single workout or practice?
For me, it was 5700 yards.
I'm sure a lot of you have some pretty impressive totals:)

In summer swimming, back in high school, we did 50 x 400 one day with 24 in the am practice and 26 in afternoon. Owww...
:shakeshead:
During Christmas break in 1977 at the Dad's Club in Houston Robbie Orr assigned us 50 x 200s. We swam it straight through but the intervals changed.
Man, you are seriously old, fast, but old.
5 miles in Saratoga Lake for time in 2002...2 hours 15 minutes.
Water quality was bad...wouldn't do it there again.
But thanks to sponsors for hosting it.
We had a mega-200s practice every year in high school. I think my set senior year was 24x200. With warm-up and cool down, that came to about 6000 yards.
I could have swam more in HS, but I have a mental block on all saturdays practices from that time frame :-)
in college - 3 years in a row in the fall we swam 10,000yds for time. usually just a few weeks after getting back to school. I was happy with my 2:15-2:25 times.
since starting back as master swimmer we did a 90 minute swim in dec, I was able to swim 6350m (scm). only stopping 3 times. (for water, and ask my current distance.)
