i think he went all out on in the prelims. i really doubt four other guys are going to beat 47.9, so his relay spot is safe. i wouldn't count on him swimming semis. even if he only has 2fly tonight, he still needs to save energy for the 2im, as it will probably take a wr not to lose to lochte.

I don't think so. He put up a 47 in prelims, so I think he'll be pretty much done with the 100 free--kinda the same as what Lochte did with the 200 free.
Three guys under the AR and the top four together are already mathematically about equal with the French and ahead of the Australians. Semis and Finals still to go.
I wonder if Warren will temper his assertion that the U.S. was out of the mix to win the 4x100? ;)
But Michael's not in it so they probably won't.
That's a sad to think they won't show it because Phelps scratched. They should show the races so that the athletes involved will get the same highlight treatment that Phelps races get.
