Post your whines and cries here. I CAN'T KICK ON A KICKBOARD...WWWAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! I CAN BARELY KICK DOING OVERWATER STREAMLINE, BUT IT STILL SUCKS....WWAAAAAHHH!!!! MY KICK SUCKS...WWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!
  • I now officially hate this pool and never want to swim there again. Waaaaahhh! That's exactly what Vibeke Swanson in my age group says. So if she never shows again, I'm down with that. Next time, come to LC Zones at U of Md, Jim. That pool is way more user friendly. But at least the GMU blocks don't move. At the Albatross Meet, the blocks were loose and wiggly, definitely creating an added degree of difficulty. Julie: I only byatched about my 50 free, my slowest in over 2 years. You were so busy gloating over that magnificent 100 fly of yours, that you weren't hearing correctly. :thhbbb: I also told the meet director that we need a scheduled break between individual events and relays. Us geezers need some recovery time.

Us geezers need some recovery time. True, I complained more than usual on Sunday, was just tired I think. I find it hilarious that my 100 fly is being referred to as "magnificent" because I do my best to avoid that stroke in practice along with the evilstroke. See, it just goes to show that if you hang around a studly butterflyer long enough, then you'll improve, it has nothing to do with practice! You mean that break wasn't just for my award? WTF?
  • You mean that break wasn't just for my award? WTF? Well, after my crybaby tirade, the meet director (affectionately referred to as "***") went to try to have a short break before the relays. But lo and behold there was already a short break for something. What was it? Something to do with distance ... something I was unfamiliar with ... can't say I paid much attention ... must have been looking for caffeine so that our 200 medley could vanquish your 200 medley relay ... Seriously, congrats to you and Jeff, the distance studs extraordinaire.

If I wasn't such a *** like our wonderful coach, maybe I would have been able to keep up with Yana on the first 50 and we wouldn't have gotten crushed by so much. I did get a chuckle out of Dave and Chris trying to talk you into the Chris Greene Lake Swim. That made my day! Even the mile swim would be 1450 meters too long for you! HA HA!

Waaaaaaaaaah my back hurts... Mrs Stud by proxy "My husband ran over my foot waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"
  • Men can never take no for an answer ... Fort is going to be an open water swimmer? Terrific! Welcome to the dark side! hahaha :cheerleader:
  • Fort is going to be an open water swimmer? Terrific! Welcome to the dark side! hahaha :cheerleader: Hahaha. I'm too clever to be tricked into OW swimming by mere men. But I will promise to swim in the open water on my vacation in June! And, really, Julie, please respect your elders and try to remember that I swim 100s, so the real shortfall should be 1400, not 1450.

Oops, this isn't the trash talk thread, is it? I just ran into my old tri/cycling friends and they were like "Oh, you ONLY swim now?" I'll show them some "ONLY swimming" next time I see them at an open water swim around here. Geeze!

Towards the end of last week, I made a pretty good improvement on my 15x100 intervals. Then I took a recovery day on Saturday. Then Sunday, I felt like crap. Again, today, the water felt like molasses. WHY CAN'T I SWIM FASTER?!?! WWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! :shakeshead:
