If you are planning to attend the 2008 Olympic Trials in Omaha, and would like to be kept informed on Masters workouts and gatherings, please let me know. I am compiling an e-mail list. Erin Sullivan of Omaha is working on securing a pool and a coach for morning Masters workouts. Her plan is 6am-7am each day from Monday, June 30, through Saturday, July 5. If you would like to be included on the e-mail list, you can either send me a PM through these forums or send an e-mail to me at: Jayhawk (at) usms (dot) org If you know of other Masters swimmers who have tickets to Trials, let me know who they are so I can include them. I sent out the spreadsheet last night. There are about 20 names on it so far, with attendees from California, Idaho, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, Maryland, Georgia, New Jersey, and Illinois. You can get a free Omaha visitor's guide here: www.visitomaha.com/.../ Anna Lea

  • Will their be an organized Master's workout during Trials in Omaha?
  • Check out the thread regarding swimming practice during the trials. I just added a reply with an attached flyer. (It will not let me attach it again here.) Be sure to ask if you have any questions. If I do not know the answer, I will certainly try to figure it out. Erin Sullivan Omaha NE

Updates... ------------- In addition to the pool competition, there will also be an area in the Qwest Center called the "Aqua Zone." There will be vendors there, along with opportunities to get autographs from various swimmers. On July 4th, USMS will be the Presenting Sponsor for Rowdy Gaines in the Aqua Zone. All USMS swimmers attending the Trials on July 4th are invited to attend Rowdy's presentation and encouraged to serve as Masters Swimming ambassadors sharing their enthusiasm for Masters Swimming to those in attendance. --------------- There will possibly be a "behind-the-scenes" tour for Masters swimmers in attendance. I don't know any more than this right now. If I find out more information I will send it to those on my spreadsheet. --------------- Rumor has it that Rowdy Gaines and Mel Stewart may attend some of the morning Masters workouts, as time permits... --------------- Omaha Masters swimmer Molly Romero owns a restaurant called "Mark's Bistro", which is two miles west of the Qwest Center. Molly invites all Masters swimmers to stop by. Make sure you introduce yourself to Molly! Anna Lea
