The filming is very badly done.
I just finished watching the men's 50m free heats. The first 25m are filmed from behind the starting blocks and for last heat 8, the whole race was solely from that one camera angle. I'm a bit disappointed.
Regular screen size is too small to read the fine print. Full screen is too out of focus and x200 zoom is barely acceptable for viewing and one still needs eagle vision (mine is more "rhino") to read the scores.
Possibly they aren't using the full camera crew for the prelim heats? I've been watching the semis and finals and they have used all the regular views seen with regular tv coverage. I think it's great! Consider the odds of seeing this stuff live on tv, even in the so-called 500 channel universe.
