Hi, Welcome. :) Everyone here is really nice, and supportive. There's a lot of years of swimming experience on this forum! And as Donna said, we were all new at some point. The cool thing is you don't feel new for long! I invite you to see how nuts most of us are by looking at the Masters Horror Flick thread. There are some interesting story lines out there. :agree:

What a warm welcome! So, I haven't been in the pool since 04. Im looking for a team, which is proving a little difficult! I have been running and working out alot, and felt like its time to get back in the pool. When I stopped swimming, I hadn't reached my "peak" and I have a lot of unresolved "issues" and I would like to get those all sorted out. When I was looking for teams, I found you guys! Who knew!? My hubby is on a Hockey message board, and I thought how cool! Now I get to have some fun on the USMS mb. So far so good! Runs off to check the horror thread... :laugh2: Hi Messie! Welcome. It is a bit of a nuthouse at times. If you want to get the scoop on posters, you could read the USMS threadies award thread, or the "which poster do you want to meet?" thread or the "masters swimming survey" thread. I think there's a thread called "who are all these people?" that blainesapprentice started when she joined the forum, and lots chimed in. Yes, plenty to read. Jim Thornton swims in Pittsburgh at a couple different places. You could PM him and ask exactly where and get more info. I think one is in Sewickley and one is at Pitt.
