I'll brag. Texas A&M's women's team won the Big12 title over Texas by 1 point. First time in history for A&M. If not for diving, A&M's win would have been far more decisive. Texas had 7 divers to A&M's 1 and scored a ridiculous number of points in diving. A&M's women won every freestyle race except the 1650 (Nebraska won), won 4 of 5 relays, and won every other stroke event except 200 fly (Texas). Both teams were apparently not fully rested. Those who already had NCAA A cuts were unrested while those without A cuts did rest. I cannot brag about the A&M men - who were soundly beaten by #1 Texas.
  • In the Big East mens, West Virginia won over Notre Dame in the last event of the night the 400 free relay. I had to leave early....too bad, it must have been a roar.
  • Bragging here too...North Carolina women's team won the ACC title. UNC coach Frank Comfort, who will retire June 30, 2007, is the winningest coach in ACC history with 16 women's championships and 10 men's championship in his 30 years of coaching at UNC. He will coach the Tar Heel men for the final time in the ACC championship competition this week when Carolina hosts the men's championships.
