Back in the pool

Well, it's that time. End of another year spent overweight and out of shape. I'm done with this body. Time to go back into the pool. This time I will stick with it. Gonna follow the "zero-to-1 mile in 6 weeks" plan and go from there. Hard to believe I was an "A" swimmer circa 1983. :D Wish me luck....

    Update: Well, I changed the workout a bit. I just simplified it by adding 100 yards per week to the warmup until it equals a 1750. I am pleased to report that I'm up to 1400 yards without stopping now (all freestyle). This morning I could have kept going but I didn't want to overdo it. For awhile there the 350-400 yard mark was my pain point where I really felt like stopping and I had to fight through it to keep going. Now, there is no more plateau. I just keep going. Sort of like my arms are numb and there is some machine moving them for me. Nanner dance!! :banana:
