I have a question. We're in a bubble, mostly in mornings and afternoons. It isn't exactly the best place, but whatever. We have trouble with ventilation, and we've improved some by putting tubing under the seam of the bubble, leading to the outside. We uncover these as we need to. Over the weekend they shocked the pool with a chlorine dosage instead of a non-chlorine dosage. We swam in the pool this morning, anyways. (We're hardcore like that!) Well, most of us developed breathing problems and uncovered the caps. Still, the symptoms prevailed. Most of us left the bubble for air, but still returned to finish our practice; personally I didn't leave. Talking to my friends today, after school, we all still had bad problems regarding breathing. We all can't breathe deep without hurting or coughing, and we're always gagging from time to time throughout the school day.
My question is:
Does anyone know how to rid of these symptoms fast?

But why is a national swimmer swimming in a private pool with a bubble?
Indeed. And why is the said nationally ranked swimmer not seeking advice from his coach?

By the way, I'm from CT... heh.

OK great. Where are you? I want to know so if you decide to start dying, I can come say "See? I told you!"
:)
Due I think you're nuts. That's my profsessional opinion...but feel free to get another.
I am going to try this out...I'm gonna dump a whole cannister of Chlorine in my hot tub and pull the lid down...maybe together he and I can figure out a quick remedy... :joker:
Well, I can truly say, "I AM ALIVE!"... Sleep's not coming to me that easily. I'm even under NyQuil... not working.
Rich, I'm from Madison, Connecticut, however I live in Cary, North Carolina currently.
Ask my coach, some say...
He's the last person I'd seek advice for. We just switched coaches this year and he isn't exactly the most humble man to seek advice from. His personality isn't, well....... great. His name is Kit Raulerson, former club coach of the Longhorns.
Great coach, great knowledge, horrible way of passing it down. "If you don't know what I am saying, I will not restate it, and you're stupid" attitude.
My former coach, Larry Simonv, was the best coach ever. In one year alone, I dropped 10 seconds in the 200 Freestyle, where my best event wasn't even that, but rather the 100 Free. I now go a 1:40.18 at best, and that's shaved, tapered, and legskin.

There's a good one of an OW swimmer covered with leeches. I thought it would give Islandsox a hoot.

hmmm does this belong in the burn-out thread?
Hope the cough is better today. It is so hard to swim with a cough, good luck.
I lived, and my time wasn't that bad. I ended up going a 1:42.08 in the 200 SCY Freestyle on manual timer watches.
I don't need a doctor. Thanks, though.
