Inspirational thoughts

I just received this from a friend and thought it was worth sharing. I'm feeling kind of philosophical so forgive me for straying off swimming topics! 15 Things You Probably Never Knew or Thought About 1. At least 5 people in this world love you so much they would die for you. 2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way. 3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you. 4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you. 5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep. 6. You mean the world to someone. 7. If not for you, someone may not be living. 8. You are special and unique. 9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you. 10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it. 11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world. 12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it. 13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks. 14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know. 15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great. A Minute: They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Take the time .. to live and love.

Good Idea. At worst she'll tell you that you are a loathsome frog whose genetic material is the Darwinistic equivalent of garbage and that she'd rather have the spawn of the monster from "Alien" than yours. Then, after laughing histerically at you in a public venue, she'll have a restraining order slapped on you that will get you placed on every sexual preditor list on the internet thereby forever destroying any hope you have of a job that doesn't utilize the phrase "Do you want fries with that?" Shattered, destitute and alone, you'll wander from pool to pool trying to beg a swim from the person at the front desk. Finally, when you can sink no lower, you'll be arrested for trying to beg a swim at a sewerage treatment plant. Well, at least that is my experience as a math nerd. Good Luck, LBJ LMAO! Honestly, i can deal with that. its the awkward busy schedules that mess my ego up. you know? when both parties are interested but it just gets forgotten in everyday life... ahh, i hate those.

There's your opening comment: "I know we're both on busy schedules, but I've been meaning to tell you that I've enjoyed texting you, and would like to take you out for pizza and get to know you better..." Something like that.

Dorian Start simple. Just talk to her and ask her if she would like to meet for lunch or coffee. Then....if you guys click and the date goes well...you can ask her out for a dinner date or a movie. Just take it slow. Don't overwhelm her at first. You need to TALK to her and LISTEN and get to know her!! That is what a woman wants! You will never know if she is right for you without getting to know her first....and likewise for her. Let your sparkling personality show! Be courteous....call me old fashioned but I liked when a guy opened doors for me and was a gentleman. You sound like one classy woman, beth. We've been talking for a couple of months now in and out of class and we def have good chemistry. is it funny she's been insisting on walking me to my car/giving me a ride to mine? hehe.. i wonder what's your take on that. I think i'll ask her to see a movie or just chill somewhere a bit more intimate.

It screams "MAKE OUT" which, might work, but you won't get to know her...it depends what you want out of this... DAMN why didn't I think of this for myself 20 years ago???? LOL

You guys 'jacked this thread big time! I don't know.... It's was all about thinking and caring for others. I'm just trying to boost Dor's confidence and try to steer him right...it's a branch away I will concede but the roots are planted in the wonderful opening post. In my opinion of course. :)
