Hmm? I don't know who this guy has coached as I don't really follow the lives of swimming coaches but it seems to me that if he were a really outstanding swim coach (I am not saying he is not!) that swimmers would be flocking to him for help.
I would say Auburn's men's team winning the last 4 NCAA titles and 6 of the last 10, and the women winning 4 of the last 5 pretty much speaks for itself.

Yes. He is an awesome coach and Auburn will definitely miss him. I heard Richard Quick may take his place. He would not have been my first choice....
Speculation is that Quick is just going to be an advisor. He will probably do some coaching too though. He has coached Auburn before...in fact, I think he was Marsh's coach.
Yes. He was coach there in the 80's when I went on a recruiting trip there.
And why are some of his top swimmers leaving him come summer? Hayley Peirsol swam for Club Wolverine this summer, and I think Kukors went back to her home club, too.
I don't doubt his talents or abilities in the least, it'll be interesting to see what he can do with no rules (in terms of training time). It'll be inetersting to see who goes there ... that's a top job for sure!
i agree - but that article sure made it sound like what he will be doing far surpasses what he was doing before.
hey guys, if you were in his shoes, which would pick?
