Are there any other sites where photos from the World Championships are available? The www.spitfirephoto.com site has 82 amateur pics, mostly of the backs of people or distance shots of the pool. Anyone taking closeups of the swimmers so we can find friends (or enemies)?
I noticed that the photo of the day posted on the FINA Worlds web site has an incorrect caption. It is actually a photo of the start of heat 37 of the women's 400 free. I can tell because that's me in the water (from heat 36) in lane two. Imagine my surprise!
I notice the swimmers appear to be ready to start while the previous heat is still in the water, possibly not allowing them to exit until the next heat goes.
Is this to keep the meet pace up, or was there some other reason?

Where were the photos posted? The link is a generic link to the photo company website. I only found soccer pics.

They are doing fly-overs which speed the meet up considerably. Since the timing system is usually set to arm after 15 seconds, you time the next heat to go off, as soon as the swimmer from the last heat touches. Makes things go really fast, and keeps everyone on their toes!

They also called Ellen Tait "Sharon" by mistake.
