Mia,it probably won't work,but I'd tell them that I joined the gym to swim and since they are not providing a SWIMMING pool they owe me my money back.
Tried that - they wouldn't budge. Gave them the required 30 days' notice anyway. That will teach me not to sign up for contracts with exorbitant cancellation fees.
Another night of swimming in near-boiling water. There are only three lines for lap swimming in the pool now, two if the swim school lessons are on, one if aqua aerobics classes are on. The noodlers are taking over :).
