Jimmy McLane a great 1500m swimmer. We were both at the 1955 Pan Am Games together. I swam the 100m came second to Clarke Scholes. Jimmy did something unusual there, Mexico City is 7000+feet above sea level. During the 1500m swim he breathed every stroke, when rt arm entered he would breathe on the left, when the left hand entered he breathed on the right. I had never seen any one else do this. Another friend of mine was www.ishof.org/73jmarshall.html he died in a car accident after the 1956 Olympics.
