Yes, it does - but no more than they're already screwed at the moment. If there really was reliable testing - for everything - I'd be thrilled with that, but there isn't. Blood doping with your own blood, growth hormone and many other things either can't be tested for or can be eliminated early enough to avoid detection.
Maybe we should stop misleading those "true athletes who are clean and want a fair shot without illegal drugs".
By opening up the field to anything you do screw the clean athletes even more than they may be getting screwed by the cheaters.
I don't think they (clean athletes) are misled; rather they are frustrated that they must work harder to win while the cheaters don't.
What is with that cold spray at the World Cup? It must be some super magic elixer. Why aren't they using it in the Tour when somebody wipes out or, even better, in the NFL or NHL when someone gets blindsided?

You know there is a truism that seem applicable to this thread as well as the ongoing Amanda Beard discussion.
When someone reaches the top of the mountain, people will either respect the accomplishment or try to tear them down to the common level.
I think that those who attack Lance or who deride Amanda are those who are jealous of their success and who try to build themselves up by tearing down those who have done well.
Is Lance clean? Hell, I don't know, but he's never been formally charged so I say nuts to those who choose to sling arrows.
As for Amanda . . . more power to her. Those who deride her are either jealous or simply spend too much time worrying about things that are none of their business.
If in the end we learn that they had feet of clay . . . stuff happens . . . in the meantime, respect their accomplishments and go live your life.

Great and funny video. Thanks for the link George.
I called a mate of mine and commented that I thought that there were more alleged injuries in the World Cup final than in the whole of the last Rugby World Cup . . . I guess that's the difference between a sport played by men and one played by frustrated thespians . . . although I imagine a few of the players in the finals may have qualified for their SAG or AFTRA cards given the performance on the pitch this Sunday past.
 :D
I was just thinking about Lance Armstrong this morning. I really don't have much confidence in him being totally clean, but I certainly wouldn't want to accuse him without proof either. Someone has to be the best cyclist in the world, after all.
Anyway, the thing that's irksome about people accusing someone who thus far has tested clean is nothing can prove them wrong. I mean, a single positive test proves them correct, but there's nothing Lance can do to prove he was clean and silence the accusers. As Lance has repeatedly stated, he's never tested positive. That's really the best he can do.
It is not only the bike guys, one of the Jones girls at track meet, tested positive, she said like the bike guys, baseball players and football players - I did not use drugs.
