One television show that I like is the HBO Series, "Deadwood."
One of the main charactors is played by actor, Timothy Olyphant. According to Olyphant's bio, he was a swimmer for USC and was a "U.S. National Finalist" in the 200 I.M.
In another post I remember reading that someone thought John Stossell (sp?) was an open water swimmer.
Does anyone know of other famous (or infamous) people who also swim?
P.S. George - we already know you are famous and infamous, so you don't count! :)

Our US senator from Illinois was in the pool Friday night with Masters. He is an avid swimmer.
Another reason why Barak Obama will be the President in his lifetime.

John Feinstein has mentioned USMS several times on sporting news radio.
I assume you are actually talking about John Feinzewski, the lover of all things Dook.
governor of Hawaii a master's swimmer? I recall something about her swimming in competitions. I wonder if she's still doing it as governor?
Also, the new Arch Bishop of DC (Wuerl) is a daily swimmer here in Pittsburgh. Bishop Donald Wuerl is a Pgh native and will be the Arch Bishop in DC starting sometime in June.
I read that David Duchoveny swims at a public pool almost every day.
John Feinstein has mentioned USMS several times on sporting news radio. One time he reported from the deck at Nationals. I think it was 2000. He said on the radio that he outsplit Wally Dicks on a world record setting 200 medly relay. He went on to explain that Wally was the oldest person to qualify for the Olympic trials. This was a nationaly sindicated show not just a local show.
(But it was a little lame for him to leave out the fact that Wally was swimming *** while he was swimming fly!)

There was a scene in one of the very early X-Files with him swimming in a red Speedo. Since then, my wife has talked about starting a major world religion based on the worship of him in that #$@^!**! suit.

A while back, there was an article about how Mary Steenburgen swims. Apparently, her husband Ted Danson swims, too.
Judge Judy is a swimmer. There was a picture of her in a swimsuit on the cover of one of the big magazines (People?) a year or two ago. She looked very healthy and fit!
Mister Rogers was a daily swimmer. Paul Tsongas was also a swimmer, as was Buddy Ebsen. In fact, Ebsen received the Gold Medallion Award from the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

Actually Tim is a representative, not a Senator, my bad.
Tim walks for miles at Lincoln square when he is in town. Have you ever seen him eat? He doesn't! My representative fromthe other side of I74, Lane Evans swam in age groupI/ve been told.
