Every situation needs to be dealt with on an individual basis.. in this particular case, it looks like no one was hurt or upset by the incident, and that everyone involved understood the joke..
and it was a water pistol......

The college I went to everyone had to take two mandatory classes called Freshman Preciptorial. We read a lot of crap and wrote several short papers. In all it is as great EXPERIENCE. One day I was in my History of Southeast Asia class, I heard a big bang that sounded like a gun. The professor, Miki Hane ( a great little lecturer) run into the hallway. A prof was teaching a bunch of freshmen in Precip, was mad at them for not responding , and had decided to shot a starter's gun in the classroom. This was Fall Term.
Knox has three nine week terms. The professor wasn't back for Winter Term

Sadly Heather has not been able to swim much in the last two months and needs to be covered as much as possible, when I am able to get back to swimming again I will let you know ... ;)
Remember the daytime soap star that killed himself on the set a few years ago? Had a blank cartridge in a real gun, put the gun to his head as a joke, and the air blast alone cored his noggin. Would be a shame to have someone think that a starter's pistol is that simple or take a prank to a dangerous level.
