Garmin Swim 2 versus Apple watch

Hi everyone, 

Looking for more recent information from people who use the Garmin Swim 2 and/or Apple watches (particularly the new SE). Likes/Dislikes? How long does the battery last? I read the previous discussion from almost a year ago. I do pool and open water swims.

    I just got the Apple Watch 6, and I like it.  It can track my heart rate, distance, identify how long I rest and which stroke I'm using (at least it could tell the difference between freestyle and breaststroke).  I wear mine all the time it isn't charging because it does such a good job of tracking health metrics.
