I am sure I don't need to remind anybody on here about this but I'll say it anyhow. Many employers and educational institutions have been known to look at a person's myspace or facebook account to glean some insight into what kind of person they might be when not being interviewed. Interestingly enough, I saw somebody complain about losing an internship to another person based upon facebook material he had posted (I don't know how he knows this nor am I aware of what he has on his facebook account...perhaps he deserved what he got) today on another forum I frequent. I suspect anything posted by anybody on here would most likely benefit them in an interviewing process but I thought I would share a potential drawback.
Aside from that, my wife has been doing myspace with most of the women in our group of friends and it has become quite the trendy way to communicate in little blurbs here and there. The men of the group have thus far refused to get involved. We'll see, I might be convinced to join in sooner or later.
I signed up but how do i get to the group. I feel odd sending msgs asking to be friends lol
"Hi, you don't know me...but I want to be your friend..."
I dunno call me odd..
