Happy New Year Guys :)
Because I'm a nosey-newbie, I'm wordering what's in your swimbag? I primarily swim for fitness so up until now, I've just had the normal stuff: goggles, silicone caps, ear plugs and anti-fog sprays, but this year I want to ramp-up my skills so I'm curious -
What do you take to the pool w/you? Fins - paddles - your own kickboard - a fifth of Jack??? Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
May we each have our best year ever!

The finger lap counter that gives you all that information sounds intriguing (as in I might want one). Can you direct me to a site that might have them?
Thanks
My bag is packed with tons of stuff:
Fluffy towel, suits, caps, goggles(Swedish with new bungee straps-love them!), eardrops, hair stuff, paddles, fins, lotion, water bottle, pool pass, and my lock, of course!
Now I want that finger lap counter too!

I guess if the pool is really crowded you can tell the other lap swimmers (a la Clint Eastwood), "We are going to be using this lane." And when someone asks, "Who is 'we?'" you can answer, "Me, Smith and Wesson."

I really appreciate the answers.
So, besides the gun *giggle* ;) we seem to carry pretty much the same schtuff. I guess I was afraid that if I started bringing in a mesh bag of toys someone would say something -- but all of those items appear to make up our normal gear.
Thanks again for the responses. :)

Yes, with size 14 feet, you do bring your own fins. The thing is they are permanently attached to your ankles :)
I bring paddles, buoy, fins in a mesh bag. Towel, suit, goggles, shampoo, combo lock in my swim bag.

Why on earth are you carrying a gun in your swim bag? Are pools really becoming this dangerous or are you just from Texas?

towel, extra silicone swimcap, extra goggles, lycra swim cap, extra nose plug, ear plugs, old snap container to put my rings in, and my trusty finger lap counter. My ZIP fins won't fit into my (smallish) bag so I just carry those.
I don't pack any weapons or ammo in my bag....
