Kirk, I guess this means you favor the grab start.
I finally found an appropriate avatar and figured out how to resize it.
I like to laugh. Rhode-Island-Red (Foghorn Leghorn) makes me laugh, especially when he says, "I say, I say, I say boy!" (inflection needed) :)
One of these days I will upload a different one. I created a website for my 6th grade class and put lots of graphics from clip art sites- can I upload one of those? There are some cool animated ones on those clip art sites.
Hi Mark,
How are you?
Not swimming related but...
One of my all-time favorite pieces of "art" was in the Disney store in the late eigthies or early 90's. It was all of the characters with their heads bowed to an empty microphone, upon Mel Blanc's passing. The title of the cartoon was "Speechless". Having grown up with Looney Tunes, it was really heartwrenching.
But I digress, going to Nationals?
I guess mine is self explanatory. I do like Rhode Island Red, plus Wile E Coyote, Road Runner (and the car as well) and the rest of the Looney Tunes characters ... with Mel Blanc's voice.

I remember that print. It sent chills up my spine when I saw it.
Karen,
I am doing OK, thank you. How about you? I remember that piece myself. Fortunately, the successor to Mr. Blanc has been doing pretty well ... it's his son, I believe. I used to look forward to seeing the Bugs Bunny-Road Runner Hour on Saturday mornings. Don't know about nationals, but I hope to be at the convention. Lord willin' and the crick don't rise. Ttthhaaaat's all folks! (BTW, that is reportedly on Mel Blanc's tombstone as well.)

Mine is to remind me of when I could squat 500lbs. But since I've been swimming I've lost about 25-30 lbs and don't have the energy nor strength to do that heavy stuff anymore. I'm in much better condition aerobically now however.
