Out of the two who would you say is regarded as "the face" of US women's swimming? Just like Michael Phelps is "the face" of US men's swimming, or US swimming in general, who would you automatically think of if asked about the women's side of US swimming? Celebrity-wise I think Amanda Beard has a slight edge over Natalie Coughlin(I'm not sure...I don't live in the US) but reputation-wise(as a swimmer) I think Coughlin might hold a slight advantage over Beard. Is it so? Any ideas?
I prefer Amanda because she is obviously better looking even though those teeth. She seems like a cool chick because she went on the Stern show and held her own. Did Amanda go out with Sabir Muhammad, just wondering? I believe that Thorpe and Beard could have hooked up at Athens but I don't think that they are a couple because they are billion miles apart!!!!
Haley Cope is also cute, but she has that tounge stud:p
At 2004 World Cup the USA has the best looking women, also very articulate.
Rowdy Gaines mentioned he went out and bought the magazines the US swimmers were in, "as a journalist".
It's a good thing we're all swimmers because it's pretty shallow around here :p

Im putting in a word for the girls here, and yes it's a totally cliche teenage answer (but im only 18 so it's allowed) and saying that Michael Phelps is absolutly adorable!!
