Private Swims...

I decided I'd start up a thread that's unique. Today, I went to the Aquatic Center that's five minutes away from my house, since the University pool, where my Masters Group and I meet is closed for maintenance (Thank God the maintenance week is almost over). When I went in the Aquatic Center's Natatorium, I saw that the pool wasn't crowded with pool users, (Thank you, God!) dove in Lane 5 and had the Lap pool all to myself for my whole session! Today was TRUELY a priceless swim session. So I ask, have any of you ever had the wonderful privilage of having the pool all to yourself?

What resort has that Bowling Pin pool? I'm staying at the Pop Century next month and have been concerned about missing 5 days of workouts. You may have just solved my problem!

You may have just solved my problem! The bowling pin pool was in Pop Century, so go for it. I used that one simply because the other two in Pop Century were being cleaned at the time I was hitting the pool. At 6:00-7:00, there is typically nobody in the pool. Be careful in the bowling pin though - it had steps at each end. I had to be extra careful on the push off. And flip turns were out. But it still beats going five or six days with no swimming at all.

I have never had to share a lane in 5 years. I've become very territorial and am frightened to think what I might do if I had to "learn" to swim circles all over again!
