It is not a great pool, but Marie Reed in Adams Morgan in Washington, DC is great when it is snowing. You can watch the snow fall as you are doing your laps. The entire wall at the deep end of the pool is one big window.
  • My favorites are Indy, Rutgers, Fort Lauderdale Hall of Fame and Sarasota Y. I have done some sort of personal best at each one of these pools so that is why they are on my list...

On top of that, the huge gutters, underwater sound system and non-chlorine water purifcation system is only extra chocolate "icing" on a chocolate cake. The USMS '02 Colonies Zone SCY Championships were held there. For someone like me who was new to competing ... it was like driving a cool Honda S-2000. Click here to see a picture. Wow!... I would LOVE to see a non-chlorine purification system in all pools! That would be fabulous! Sounds like a great pool!
  • My favorite is DEFINITELY Indianapolis. I did almost lifetime best times there! FAST pool and a great town to visit. Other favorites: Ft. Lauderdale Hall of Fame pool and UGA.

img.photobucket.com/.../LovelyLong-Course.jpg My absolute favorite workout pool is the Fort Bliss Replica Aquatic Center here in town because it's a Long-Course and I love the smell of it's water. Fun Fact: For those of you who have heard my song "Swimmer's Ballad" in the "Meaning of Swimming" Thread, this is what truly inspired me to write this song.

I do not like indoors pools, it makes me feel nauseous, and I do not know many pools around the World, but I like very much the one I practice in every day: www.casablanca.com.mx/.../01Lomas_verdes_04_olimpica.php :p :p

My backyard pool. Just opened it for the year. I can tether myself to the diving board and just swim straight for an hour. For competitions the Larkins Hall and Peppe Aquatic Center at The Ohio State University had seen it's share of great swims and became so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think. They are finally getting rid of it after 76 years. 11 NCAA championships from Mike Peppe. If you had ever been there the entire place had tiled murals everywhere with alot of character. The pool was very fast when it was built in 1929 and seated around 1500. I can't wait to see and swim in the new one.
