I was watching some of the ESPN coverage of the FINA world swimming championships the other day, and there was some sort of introductory public service/sponsorship announcement talking about USA Aquatic Sports (or some such umbrella title.)
Anyhow, I saw our USMS logo prominently displayed alongside logos for USA swimming, diving, water polo, and synchronized swimming. I don't know--it just struck me as sort of cool that our masters sport is on the same podium with the USA Olympic aquatic programs.
Just as the senior golf tour seems to be gaining a lot of repect, so does the senior swimming tour! Not sure if I am putting this very well, but it did give me an extra sense of pride that I am involved in this sport!
