With Elka Graham having collapsed twice in training recently and being found to have an irregular heart-beat,is it the right thing for her to do by going to the World Championships in Barcelona.I know that an Australian cardiologist has given her the "all clear",but it is still a bit worrying.

It depends on her diagnosis. If she has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the most common cause of sudden death in young athletes, she could be at high risk. This was Reggie Lewis' diagnosis; he was the Boston Celtics player who had been told not to play by a number of cardiologists. He sought another opinion from a cardiologist at Tufts who cleared him to play. He died suddenly while shooting baskets. It's not clear from the news stories if this is her condition.
