You, know that I live in Arizona and the heat is bothering me. I'm tired of the air-conditioner,its effecting my ears and on my days off I get up around 5:25 A.M. to swim and sometimes it takes me awhile to fall asleep. Anyone else with this problem.
I had trouble with insomnia for about 3 months until I read an article in a Prevention magazine. It said that a Calcium,Magnesium and/or B12 shortage could cause insomnia. It also listed some herbs that you can take to help. I started taking extra Calcium (500mg), Magnesium (250mg), B12 (1500mcg) and Valerian Root at night before I went to bed. IT HELPED!!! I was able to fall asleep faster and stay asleep! Sometimes you get into a vicious cycle where you can't get sleep, get exhausted and then you worry about not being able to sleep so....you can't sleep! These vitamins and herbs helped me break the cycle. I don't take the Valerian Root every night now. I only take it when I need it. I'm still taking the vitamins though! Try it! I used to be skeptical of herbal remedies but, I swear this one worked for me! Good luck! ;)
