Time Standards?

I'm the husband of a new Masters swimmer. We've been involved in US Swimming for awhile and are familiar wth the time standards used by our childrens' club (B A AA, etc), but I can't seem to find the equivalent for Masters swimming. Maybe this is a "stupid" question, but I'm sure I can get a quick answer here. Thanks!

  • Time standards are only in place for Nationals. You can swim 3 events without meeting standards and any other events you enter must meet a standard which is based on your age and sex, and is determined by a committee which uses the top times from the previous year's corresponding Nationals. You can see what the standards were for last year's SC Nationals were (or any other National Meet) by going to "Nationals" in this site.
