Anyone willing to share experience swimming Senior Games, especially in Florida? I am just turning 50 so can now swim these, and it looks like my schedule can fit the Good Life meet in Clearwater.
Curious how these meets might differ from typical masters meets, aside from that whippersnappers are not allowed.
(Mostly looking to get some races in to see if I will be OK for Nationals this year after a year of injuries.)
Orca, here you go. ilseniorolympics.weebly.com/ I went to the event last year in Springfield to qualify (had an injury during the TN games). It was a quick meet and met a lot of sweet people there who I later saw in Albuquerque. Be sure to check out the times from last year in your events. ":) I'm sure you'll be fine.
I have some very sad news. I was the announcer for the Good Life senior games meet last weekend in Clearwater, Florida. Jimbosback did attend. Unfortunately, he collapsed on the pool deck during warmups and could not be revived.
