Only a month to go until Indy... it'll be my first big meet since college.
Who here's going? What should I expect in terms of meet flow - does it move quickly or slowly? Are the warmup/cooldown pools going to be jam-packed? And most importantly... do people shave down for this meet? I have a lot more hair than I did in college...
And, to your question on shaving down, yes!
Heh, I'm staying at my brother's apartment, so I better trim down before I leave home so I don't leave his place too much of a mess :P
Just heard that USMS is gonna drop the sixth event this year. From what I've heard, that hasn't happened in a long time, but with almost 2,400 swimmers showing up it makes sense. It sucks to a degree, though. I was looking forward to swimming a 100 IM tapered for the first time ever. Oh well. Still looking forward to all the fast swimming!
I don't mind losing my sixth event (50 back) because 1) there's a ton of good sprinters in the 25-29 age group, 2) I might still get to do a time in a relay or two and 3) that means I get to do the 100 IM by itself that day!
You coming to Canadian Nationals afterwards May 19-21 Calgary? Deadline is April 28 or 29 I think.
Thanks for the reminder. This is tempting. Interesting that the meet runs Saturday through Monday. I like that the 400 relays are offered, too.

"I won 8th" is the true sign of an optimist. :)
My freshman year of college, one of our sprinters had a great race at Nationals, best time, placed fourth or fifth. Turned around toward the team section and wagged one finger. When he got out we ribbed him a bit that he had forgotten to put a few extra fingers up :P

Let me guess, he replied with a different finger;)
