  • remember when Joe Bottom made the cover of "SwimmingWorld" by being the 1st person under 20.00 in the 50 free? yeah, today just 6 were entered in the 50 free slower than that out of 54! and Dressel splits 17.99 on the 4x50 free relay!

They brought in foreign ringers man who are using our system. Guys are fast in every event. I was more interested in the women swimmers but did keep up with the guys like Lincon doing breaststroke under 50 seconds. Mark Spitz years ago did that in fly.
  • Ignorant kid basher! Schooling is sick with stomach flu symptoms. My guess is he skipped the 2 fly to rest up for the relay. It's just swimming & UT seems to have this win locked down. He's a Singapore citizen. Brits, Aussies and many other NCAA athletes speak with perfect English. Hook Em How about Schooling, Singapore boy, quitting on himself and his team in the 200 fly today? Dude talks with perfect English yet represents Singapore in the international competitions and bails out on his 200 fly today after being beaten by a true American in Dressel

He's a Singapore citizen. Brits, Aussies and many other NCAA athletes speak with perfect English. Hook Em He didn't skip, he swam gamely but didn't make either final. Tough event to do if you are sick. Hopefully he will recover for the relay. As for the rest: ignore the troll, he's a broken record at this point.
  • all this talk about ncstate and the 4x200 free relay yet, they only have 1 guy make the top 16 (7th) and score points in the 200 free. whats up with that???!!! what a spoiler by caleb dressels in the 100fly...wiped the record board clean with that 22.88 back half of the 100fly...wow!!! was 4th at the 50 and then out swam the olympic gold medalist
  • I thought she hurt her back in 2014? Yes, and then in 2015 she swam that amazing 200 free. I don't have any inside information,I just saw a video saying her back was still bothering her and analyzing her SDK from 2012 and 2016. Something wasn't right for her last year.
  • So much fast swimming (and falling records) in this meet. Remember when the discussion used to be that getting rid of tech suits would virtually halt all such record-setting? My mind is still blown by that 40.00 100 free. It seems like just yesterday (to me) that breaking 20.0 in the 50 almost guaranteed you another swim at night.
