consider this:
haas throws down the fastest *SPLIT* ever 1:30.52 in the 4x200 relay to help UT set a new ncaa record.
but wait
then he goes *FASTER* from a dead start at 1:30.46
nobody else went faster in their individual event after posting the fastest split in history on a relay!
Didn't Eddie Reese say that Hass has done that before? (not the 1:30, but beating his relay split)
That was a great swim although I suspect that there are a few guys who could have gone sub-1:30 had they chosen to do a 200 SCY free shaved and tapered, Angel comes to mind.
