What's ironic is Jack has the national high school record in the 500 free yet he isn't even mentioned to swim the 500.
According to his swim swam interview, he's not swimming the 500 free this year. Last year, he practiced with the distance group and swam that event at meets. But he was disappointed overall with his season and his backstroke events. So he switched to the middle distance stroke group and attributes that training change to his improvement this year. I think he's already gone a 1:39 in the 200 back this year?
