Places to swim in Montreal:
These are links to swimming pools in Montreal; some of these facilities do not open until this summer.

My understanding is that there is a warm up pool near the permanent pool, which is available for warmup/warmdown throughout the day. The alternate pool suggestions are so that people can go somewhere else on a day they are not swimming or maybe for warmup where they may have more room to swim--and use kickboards and paddles and so on.
So its essentially a 3 pool complex with competitions in two pools and another pool for warmup and warmdown.
What pool is used for warm-up/down after the meet starts and both pools are being used for competition? What happens when diving is going on? I get in after 8 on Saturday night and have to go check-in because I swim the 800 Free the next day. I need to know if I have to make the 7:00 warm-up or if I can warm-up later when I get there. Thanks in advance for the response.
Thanks. I got the information from someone and a link. I didn't understand that the temporary pool was a 10 minute walk from the main pool. This is huge to consider if you warm-up right before your races usually and it's also a walk to warm-down. I appreciate the responses.
Picture of the temp pool are up on the website

It looks great other than the seating and the distance from the warm down pool. I guess you can't have everything. Still, it's pretty darn nice from the picture. Fingers crossed its fast!
There is certainly some conflicting information being posted about this event. In the email I got today, it has this link, which it says has new updated information:
finamasters2014.org/AdditionalInformationEntryBookletEnglish.pdf
... which says that the Open Water meeting is at the Rowing Basin. However, there is also this page:
finamasters2014.org/.../
... which also says that it is brand new information and that the meeting is at Parc Jean Drapeau.
Hopefully, within the next week, they will figure out which is the correct information, and post a "New Really Updated" message about where the meeting will be.

Allen, I remember they were in English in Italy but not sure that's a rule or not.
I don't see much shade at all on the decks of any of these pools. Looks like I'll be camping out in the grass / shade somewhere
