Swimming in Seattle--Ballard or Queen Anne Pools

I'm moving back to Seattle, into the Magnolia area, and I want to start swimming again. Does anyone swim with either the Queen Anne or Ballard teams? I couldn't find contact info on the site and I was curious if the practice times are still current. Or if anyone knows of any other pools that'd be awesome too. Hope to swim with you soon!

  • Here's the citywide pool schedule: www.seattle.gov/.../all_city_schedule.pdf These are all programs run by the city. The pool lifeguards write the workouts. You shouldn't count on consistent coaching. Maybe you'll get it, but in many cases it's just a lifeguard writing something on a white board and that's the extent of the organization. There is (or at least was, not 100% positive they're still going) an external masters group that swims at Queen Anne. Here's the website: www.teamunify.com/Home.jsp You might also consider Husky Masters. This is the group I used to swim with and it's a good mix of ability levels and good coaching: http://huskymasters.org/
