What's considered a good time for a 50 yard sprint?

To think 6 months ago I was posting here whining about not making it halfway across my 25 yard pool... This morning I pushed it and decided to see how fast I could do a 50 yard sprint (Freestyle). I did it in :42. Is this good? Marian

    I joined my swim team about 3 weeks ago and in my first meet I got a 25 second 50 free

Is it record setting, or a ntionals qualifying time? Likely not, but to make that kind of progress in such a short period of time is, IMHO, more commendable. Congrats, keep up the good (and obviously quite hard) work!
