I am putting together a list of Fitness Events and Challenges available to USMS members. These could be virtual, postal, logs, or anything any club has come up with to motivate folks to swim more. If you know of any such event would you please post it on this thread. I promise to post a final list in a compact form if I get some responders. I already know about GTD, Postal 5K/10K, and the Hour Swim series. Thank you, Robin Walker
There is another postal Brute Squad hosted by the Davis Aquatic Masters. It is an official Pacific Masters Swimming event open to any USMS member. You can do your swim any time during the month of November.
For those who don't know, Brute Squad is:
200 Fly
400 IM
1000 Free
In the DAM version of the event, your time is the total time it takes you to swim the whole thing, including rests in between if you take them...
Wisconsin Masters has the "Wisconsin Water Warriors Fitness Event" in November and December to encourage winter/holiday fitness. The info for 2012 isn't up yet, but it's on the event calendar. Here's the 2011 info:

I want to do this! :bouncing: At :37 for my 1650 split of 2000, I wasn't exactly speedy, but I wouldn't have come in last place either. :D
GGS5T also has a cracker challenge which is very timely ....
In one session swim ALL the Olympic pool swimming events, including every leg of the relays
 to all who have achieved it

Interesting... if you swim it straight through, it becomes a very unusual IM event: 300 fly, 100 back, 100 ***, 1750 free.
