I might win the gridge, but James had a fantastic meet today. He swam five of the first six events today and got masters best in four of the five and he was only off by a couple tenths in the other.
Way to go, James! It sounds like you rocked that meet today. Congratulations on an amazing day!

Thanks again Elaine!! :D

Thanks Kirk!! I'm considering this my best masters meet so far, even if I didn't get to swim my "best" events in it.
Good job Elaine!
My extensive informant network has sent me the goods from the 200 free race in Federal Way wherein Jaadams1 did a 200 fly:

Good job James, but knelson is still the favorite in this gridge.
Where the heck do you get this information???? I wasn't even home yet when your original posting was on the forums!
And Kirk may think he's the favorite...but we'll see how the stuff works that was in his waterbottle. :bolt:

The secrecy of my informant network is paramount! Even the carrier pigeons have fake ID's. I've said too much already.

I hope it doesn't cause a code brown during the 1650, since I'll be in the same heat :afraid:

Don't forget to check in for the 1650 Free tomorrow as well! Very important information at the check-in table. :)
Results from the 2012 National YMCA Masters Championship have been uploaded to the meet results database.
Congrats to James, Elaine and That Guy!!! I don't understand how James does this back-to-back-to-back-to-back event thing ... amazing.
This is a bizarre timing error from Y Nats. Only one 50 year old woman has ever broken 25 (Traci, the NR holder). Maybe they should have checked their results more carefully.

See that shiny building labeled "M60-64 SCY Records" standing over there? Looks nice doesn't it? Well it's about to turn to rubble. Again.
I think Rick Colella set 4 national records in M60-64 this weekend at PNA Champs. 100 BR 1:04.7, 200 BR 2:21.0, 100 IM 58.x, 400 IM 4:33. He just missed the 50 *** record, and knelson and i were in the pool when he took a run at the 1000 and 1650 records.
As Allen posted in the breaststroke lane, Megan Jendrick posted some terrific SCM times at the Oregon Association meet: www.swimphone.com/.../individual_results.cfm

It actually went back-to-back, then skip one, then back-to-back-to-back. :) Events #1,2,4,5,6 were the ones I swam.
But it felt like 5 back to backs!!
The key to my success: Fast food (makes you swim fast, hence the name) and whatever else I can find, 12 oz. sodas at both breaks and lunch at work, and a 44oz. soda on the way home. Oh yeah...and a couple hours of swimming each week in the pool. :D
