I know there are two in Florida in May and one scheduled for Minnepolis but are there any other long course meets for may that people know about? I would like to hit 2 of them before the nationals deadline.
I'll be in the Phoenix area that weekend! Is it as simple as registering with USAS and showing up? Or do I need to actually do another USAS meet first to get "official" qualifying times?

I would like to hit 2 of them before the nationals deadline.Wookiee, come out to Arizona over Memorial Day weekend (if you're willing to swim outside) and swim at this USAS meet at our wonderful Scottsdale pool -- www.scottsdaleswim.com/.../AZ12-68R_SAC_Cactus_Classic (2).pdf. Prelims/finals format means you'll likely get multiple chances to swim.
There will be a LCM meet in the Kansas City area in May 2012.

If you want a great trip plus a really good pool, go to Bend. The pool was re-done a few years ago and is really fast. Plus the host team does a wonderful job of hosting. And you can't beat the scenery.

If you want a great trip plus a really good pool, go to Bend. The pool was re-done a few years ago and is really fast. Plus the host team does a wonderful job of hosting. And you can't beat the scenery.I'll second that. I trained there this summer while vacationing and it's an awesome pool -- this picture doesn't quite do it justice, but, trust me, it's nice: forums.usms.org/blog_attachment.php. The town is great and on my list of places to return to chill out in.
