Hi Everyone,
We're working on an article for the Jan/Feb issue of SWIMMER on the effects of chlorine on skin and how swimmers manage. Anybody got a lotion they swear by or another remedy for the itchy dryness that they want to share?
Thanks,

Yes! And this too: www.thebodyshop-usa.com/.../shea-shower-cream.aspx
I like a product called "It's a 10" for my hair. It's a silicone-based leave-in spray. I find that it keeps the shine in my hair, and it also offers additional protection from the effects of chlorine. My hairdresser recommended it, and I swear by it. I keep a bottle at home and a bottle in my swim bag. I'm never without it. itsa10haircare.com/.../
Aveeno Lotion is what I use it's made with oatmeal. What I like about this lotion is that it's not greasy absorbs quickly and my wife likes the way it make my skin feel. Now do you need any other endorsement that! ....wife approved! Any lotion must be applied right after taking a shower, pat dry with the towel (never rub) and then put the lotion on. Your spouse will love it!
As far as my hair, I lost that in my 30s and 40s so I don't do anything for that!
I have found Cetaphil to work the best. During winter, when the air is also dry, I use Cetaphil cream on the rough spots. The cream and lotion both work great! I have used Lubriderm, Eucerin, St. Ives, Vaseline lotion, and several other brands, however, none of them worked as well as Cetaphil.
Cetaphil was just rated the best body lotion in the November issue of Consumer Reports. It was the most effective for moisturizing, beating out Eucerin, Aveeno, Nivea Gold Bond, Vaseline, Equate (Walmart), Suave, CeraVe, Jergens, CVS, Lubriderm, W (Walgreens), and Up & Up (Target).
