Laura Val broke world records in the 400 IM, 100 Fly; 50Free; 50 Fly; 200 Fly; 1500 Free;100 Free; 200 Free; 400 Free; and the 800 Free.

Perfect weather, fantastic pool, fun meet. Did I swim fast? No, not really, but what can you do. :chug:
It was a great, low key meet. They had some problems with the touch pads, but other than that things went smoothly and Mt. Hood is a great pool to swim in--especially when it's not 100 degrees out like it was at Nationals in 2008!

Laura Val broke world records in the 400 IM, 100 Fly; 50Free; 50 Fly; 200 Fly; 1500 Free;100 Free; 200 Free; 400 Free; and the 800 Free. Her 200 Fly was faster then the PacMasters mens 60 200 Fly record;
Ann Hirsch of Walnut Creek broke the world 80-84 100 Breaststroke; 200 IM; 200 Breaststroke and the 50 Breaststroke records.
RELAYS - World and National records broken include Men 320-339 400 Medley Relay (Alameda Aquatic Masters);
The Olympic Club broke the 100-119 200 Miixed Medley relay.
Tri Valley Master 100-119 broke the woman's national 400 Freestyle Relay;
Thanks to Joel Wilson, Kim Musch, Panch Wrangl and the Cruz volunteers for organizing the meet!
Personally?
Only 1 single thing I actually enjoy about leaving the UC Santa Cruz Pool & PACIFIC Championships... VIEW OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN on the path to the parking lot!

Thanks, but I've been under 18 minutes in that same pool a couple years ago! Yes, it was with a now illegal suit, but just FS Pro legs. I'm confident I'll get back there again if I keep training like this.
