OK, Forumites, today's the last day to sign up for Nationals at Auburn. This isn't much of a game, but it's a forum tradition. So, how many swimmers will be signed up to swim at Auburn? Winner gets a round of :applaud: and a :wine: . Hey, if you find me at Nationals and introduce yourself as the winner, I'll even buy you a :chug: on Saturday, after the conclusion of the meet! :D
Good luck!
:cheerleader:
I'll start it off with: 888
I asked Jeff at Mesa if he would be coming to Auburn, if I recall correctly he said it was just too close to Worlds. Maybe Rowdy felt the same?
Hmmm, that's probably it- and the reason other Olympians are missing from the roster, as well. :badday:
Hey, Chris, I will look forward to seeing you there! You and Ahelee are on the top of my list to meet, this time around! :agree: (Georgia Tech doesn't count; I barely remember our very brief introduction!)
King Frog and Mrs. Frog, I am looking forward to seeing you two, again! :cheerleader:
Hey, what's up with Rowdy Gaines not including himself in that group of 75? I thought he would return to his college pool, for sure! Perhaps his broadcasting work is taking him away...
You are exactly correct. I was at Auburn this past weekend and noticed that Rowdy still owns the school record in the 200 free! Sadly he cannot attend USMS Summer Nationals because our meet is the same week as USA Nationals, so he will be broadcasting their meet in CA.

Thanks for solving that mystery! Too bad it worked out that way... :badday:
I'm guessing that this also solves the little mystery of why Sabir Muhammad only entered the 50 free at Auburn (the very last event). On that same day at Senior Nationals (Saturday), the men's individual events are the 200 back, 200 ***, and 1500 free, in none of which I would expect to see a sprinter like him. My theory is that we'll see him swim some sprint events at Senior Nationals before flying back to Georgia Friday night and driving over to Auburn Saturday morning for a blazing fast 50 free in the afternoon.
